Materia Locus

Materia Locus, translated from Latin as local matter, opened in 2009 as an artists' co-op and home design store focusing on designers and products within 100 miles of the owner's Upstate NY home. Since it's opening, Materia Locus has evolved into a full showroom for Materia Designs as well as a store featuring a tightly knit group of artists and product designers.

Curated alongside a selection of primarily industrial antiques, Materia Locus is currently selling works by Materia Designs, Blackcreek Mercantile and Trading Co, Halsey Chait, Gogo Ferguson, Hudson Paint, Hudson Valley Seed Library, Barbara Pisch, and Betty Clark. Maintaining a clean, sophisticated aesthetic, Materia Locus offers a unique shopping experience for a discerning and conscious client, as well as a variety of interior and furniture design services.
